DESCRIPTION:The Poway Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2026 Candidates Forum: Monday\, September 28th at 5:30pm. The forum will take place in person in Templar's Hall at Old Poway Park. We will also be livestreaming this forum through the Poway Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.\n\n\n\n5:30pm - 6:00pm Poway City Council District 3\n\n6:00pm - 6:15pm BREAK\n\n6:15pm - 7:00pm Poway Mayor Race\n\n\n\nThis event offers candidates a chance to answer questions before the election takes place. The forum will follow a Q&A format (not a debate)\, with a neutral moderator (Dan Cain\, CDR\, (Ret.)) presenting pre-determined questions as well as live questions from the audience\, if time permits. \nParticipating Candidates\nPoway Mayor Candidates (listed in the order they will appear on the ballot as determined by the Secretary of State):\n\nDellena Olps\n\nSteve Vaus\, Mayor/Business Owner\n\nJenny Maeda\, District 4 Councilmember\n\n\n\nPoway City Council District 3 Candidates (listed in the order they will appear on the ballot as determined by the Secretary of State):\n\nBob Walder\, Volunteer Administrator\n\nPeter De Hoff\, City Councilman/Scientist\n\n \nAbout the Candidates Forum:\n\nEvery two years since 2010\, the Poway Chamber of Commerce has facilitated a Candidates Forum to allow Poway citizens and community members to hear from their local candidates before Election Day. Participating candidates will be available to meet & greet with attendees\, answer pre-determined questions\, and Q&A from the audience\, if time permits.
